South West Under 14 Camp
15th October 2018

Once again held at Crediton in Devon, 20 top under 14’s worked hard and seemed to thoroughly enjoy a gruelling but fun week. Thanks to coaches Harriet Mortimer, Claire Buckingham and Alex Cook for making the week fly by.

Millfield Summer Camp

A great turn out at this years camp. A mixture of fun games and learning opportunities meant that everyone had  a good time and improved too.  Looking forward to next year.

European Deaf Championships

A great week with the England Deaf Squad in Slovakia.  Their hard work over the past year was put into practise and all players reached high levels of performance.  Joint 5th in the team event, and a quarter final place in the Ladies doubles were just two of the highlights in an exceptionally high standard competition..  […]

GB Deaf championships

Well done to Kirstie Allen for winning the treble at the recent Deaf Championships in York.  Singles, Doubles with Eta Zielonka, and Mixed with Dominic Caswell. Next stop – European Championships in July in Slovakia!

World Champion again!!

Andrew Martin won the World Mixed title for the third time in Korea last week.  This is another step towards his goal of a medal at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics.

World Coaching Conference

In August 2017 I attended the World Coaching Conference in Glasgow.  Two days of  learning from some of the best coaches in the world.  Subjects included the use of setting tasks within sessions to enhance learning, the physiology involved in a jump smash, and the importance of giving players confidence.
