I am a Badminton England Level 3 Coach based in Somerset, England. I have been coaching for over twenty years, and since 2006 it has been my full time profession. In addition, I am a fully qualified coach tutor and assessor, working for Badminton England.   I am sponsored by BAT Sports and Yonex, and also http://www.aqueos-sport.co.uk

I am a qualified first aider, with current DBS clearance. I am a DBS verifier for Badminton England.

I have played County badminton for over 30 years, winning many tournaments in that time.   In 2015 I reached the quarter finals of the World Senior Championships, and was seeded at the 2016 European Seniors.  In 2017 I became Somerset Men’s Doubles champion once again – the oldest player ever to do so.

I pride myself in the interest I show in my players, working out ways to improve their game, and reaching their potential. This philosophy applies to all ages and standards – beginners learning the basics and looking to enjoy the game more, to elite athletes with their sights set on winning medals.
